The invention relates to foundry engineering and concerns the device for application of thermal insulation coatings. A device contains: a support for installation of chill moulds, a frame, a cable layer, a sprayer, a coupling device of electric drive for displacement of a coupling and a sprayer with cable pulling bodies and an idler of the rope of coupling drive. The coupling device includes a catch fastened on the support, and the coupling. It is characterized by that the coupling is made in the form of a mechanism. The latter consists of a housing, two levers, a stopping cover, a pusher and a casing. In the housing a through cylindrical opening with conic expansion in its lower part and a through groove in axial plane of cylindrical opening are made. The levers are hingedly connected with the housing. One of the sides of lever is section-shaped. The profile of lever is made in the form of a hook with working face and a cam. The latter are brought into the groove of housing. The levers are spring-loaded to the housing. The pusher is made in the form of a piston with a stock. The piston of pusher is installed in the cylindrical opening of housing. Motion of the pusher in the housing is limited by the stopping cover. The latter is fastened on the housing. The rope of the drive of coupling and casing are fastened on the stock of pusher. The catch is made in the form of a rod with diametrically prominent head. In the lower part of the catch a skirt is made with possibility of connection with the conic expansion of cylindrical opening of housing. The head of catch is made with possibility of axial displacement in the cylindrical opening of housing. The lower end part of the head of catch is made with possibility of connection with the working faces of hooks. A sharp angle between the lines, which connect the centre of articulated coupling of lever with the points of application of the elastic coupling on the housing and lever, makes . The cam profile is made with possibility of turning the lever at interaction with the pusher for the angle ?. The profile of hook is made with possibility of turning the lever at interaction with the catch for angle ? . The condition ? >? >? shall be fulfilled.
